Terms & Conditions

Last Updated: August 31, 2026

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Check Web Accessibility (accessible at checkwebaccessibility.com) and its associated tools, scanners, color contrast utilities, and documentation, you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions. If you do not agree to these terms, please discontinue use of the site.

2. Permitted Use & Service Description

Check Web Accessibility provides free automated accessibility checking software to evaluate public web pages against W3C Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG 2.1 and WCAG 2.2 Level AA).

  • You may use the service for personal, commercial, or educational website testing.
  • You agree not to attempt to breach, overload, or bypass security infrastructure or automated rate limits.
  • You must only scan web pages that are publicly accessible on the internet.

3. Disclaimer of Legal Representation & Warranties

Automated testing tools cannot detect 100% of accessibility issues. Automated audits (including Check Web Accessibility) typically identify 30% to 50% of machine-detectable failures (such as color contrast ratios, missing alt text, and form labels).

Our automated reports, compliance scores, and remediation guides are provided for informational and educational purposes only. They do not constitute formal legal counsel or a guarantee of legal immunity under Title III of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), Section 508, or the European Accessibility Act (EAA). Full compliance verification requires manual keyboard testing, screen reader evaluations, and professional audit reviews.

4. Intellectual Property

All site designs, software code, custom auditing logic, visual assets, and written documentation on Check Web Accessibility are protected by copyright and intellectual property laws. You may copy and use generated audit reports and code snippets for remediating your own websites.

5. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Check Web Accessibility and its creators shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages resulting from the use or inability to use our services, or from any audit report findings or code modifications made based on our recommendations.
